Mentor Role: NBMBAA member – Contact 1x a month
Mentee Role: Don’t be afraid to ask questions! Contact 1x a month

Each pairing of mentor / mentee will be different, however, roles and responsibilities of each are shown below:

Mentor Responsibilities
Inform the mentee how things work in your career path. Offer guidance and direction on communication. Open the door for interface opportunities, i.e., lunches, meetings, brainstorming sessions, etc. Hold periodic informal meetings with mentee. Encourage candor and maintain confidentiality. Always provide feedback.

Mentee Responsibilities
Be observant of preferences, habits, styles and behavior patterns Seek advice, direction, and opinions on all that is observed. Discuss what you have read or heard about other corporate cultures and then discuss with the mentor. Be responsible for developing your own sense of confidence and style during the learning process. Recognize that you have to take responsibility for your own growth and success.
