The Cleveland Northeast Ohio Chapter of the National Black MBA Association is firmly committed to providing a comprehendsive range of professional development programs geared to meet the need of our members and the community. Leaders of Tomorrow Program
The NBMBAA Leaders of Tomorrow Program aims to provide mentors and resources to marginally academic performing high school students. These students exhibit leadership potential but need exposure and motivation in order to make good choices about college, their career and their future. Targeted students include inner-city high school youth with a grade point average between C- and C+ who have demonstrated leadership potential.
Scholarships
Both the local Chapter and our National Organization offers graduate and undergraduate scholarship annually. Our scholarship program awards scholarships to outstanding minority students pursuing undergraduate and graduate management/business degrees, while demononstrating strong leadership abilities, and a committment to their communities.

The Cleveland Northeast Ohio Chapter goal is to provide about $10,000 in graduate scholarship annually. Application deadline for our graduate scholarship is October 30, 2007. Real Estate Investment and Empowerment Program
In 2006, the Chapter created a Real Estate Investment Empowerment Group in partnership with New Life Property Management. The goal is to form a support group and bring in the various resources that will help our members succeed in building wealth through real Estate investing. The group meets monthly from April to November at the Tower at Erieview at the Galleria located at 1301 East 9th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44114 (Please use the East 12th Street Entrance to enter the building. The meetings are held on the 4th Floor from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. The meetings are free and open to the public. Refreshments are served. Underground parking available at the Galleria for $3.00. Leadership Breakfast Series
The Leadership Breakfast Series will be held from January to June 2007 from 7:30am to 9:00am at the Union Club located at 1211 Euclid Avenue. Each month we invite one of Northeast Ohio Chief Executive Officer to be our speaker. The leadership breakfast is geared towards mid to senior level members who are paid members of the Chapter. One of your benefits as a chapter member is the opportunity to be paired with a senior level executive who can provide you with coaching and counseling & valuable assets that make the difference between success and mediocrity in their career. The mentoring program runs from June 2007 to June 2008 and start over again each June. Mentee application can be downloaded by clicking here.
Sitting on Non Profit Boards
Through a partnership with Business Volunteers Unlimited (BVU), members of the Cleveland|Northeast Ohio Chapter can become involved in nonprofit boards based on their personal interests and qualifications. These outstanding nonprofit board experiences provide great opportunities for professional and leadership development. At the same time, board members placed through this BVU program have a new way to contribute valuable expertise in helping nonprofits to serve our community.
